Dear PRCOrchestra Family,
This has been an extremely difficult summer for all of us who loved and admired my parents, Edgar and Nancy. Although both had been seriously ill for some time, one is never prepared for these losses – especially just a couple of weeks apart. I don’t know how we would have gotten through it all without your abundant care and concern.
At every turn, my family was comforted by patrons, musicians and friends from the Park Ridge Civic Orchestra, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and many other areas and eras of my parents’ vivid, creative lives.
We heard story after story about what the Muenzers’ musical mission and generosity of spirit has meant to so many. People went out of their way to reassure us that that Edgar and Nancy would always be remembered, and many sent gifts to Park Ridge Civic Orchestra in their memory, to help it continue. I know my parents would have wanted nothing more than this.
Now, as we enter our 2016-17 season, I want you to know that we will do our very best to continue Edgar and Nancy’s passionate mission: to keep bringing the transcendent magic of symphonic music to everyone. With your continued support, their brilliant legacy will live on. And we – along with new generations of music-lovers -- will be even more grateful to you as the years go by.
On behalf of my family, thank you again for your wonderful care and support. It’s a comfort and an inspiration.
