Victor Muenzer debuted as Music Director of the PRCOrchestra with the concluding concert of the 2013-14 season. He is the son of PRCOrchestra's co-founders, the former Chicago Symphony Orchestra violinist Edgar Muenzer and his wife, Nancy; and was raised in the Chicago symphonic music environment. A Maine South graduate, Victor studied conducting at Northwestern University and DePaul University.
Committed to bringing symphonic music to people everywhere, Victor founded The Imagination Symphony that has presented concerts for kids throughout the Chicago area. He also helped pioneer the syndication of weekly symphonic radio programs using the CD format in his role as president of CD Syndications, Inc. His national radio programs have included Indianapolis On-the-Air, Center Stage from Wolf Trap, and On Stage at the Library of Congress. Victor also has produced many well-known recordings including the 1995 Grammy Award winner for Best Chamber Music Performance, featuring Daniel Barenboim and members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Berlin Philharmonic.
